About Mark Cirks,

DC, CASP, CDSP

Growing up in Gilmore City, Dr. Mark Cirks is a 2006 graduate of Twin River Valley High School.  Dr. Mark began his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University continuing on to Northwestern Health Sciences University where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Mark took the initiative to take additional coursework and internship experiences.  He worked in a multidisciplinary sports medicine clinic which he helped coordinate a collaborative effort between Medical Doctors, Chiropractic Doctors, Acupuncturists, and Massage Therapists for the most beneficial treatment plan for patient care. Also, Dr. Mark provided chiropractic services alongside of a doctor of chiropractic that specialized in pediatrics and prenatal care.  He has additionally volunteered his time to work at a homeless shelter in downtown Minneapolis in which he provided chiropractic care.  

Dr. Mark takes pride his is skills as chiropractor in evaluating and treating spinal mobility in order to support a healthy spinal column and in turn a more functional nervous system for his patients. Dr. Mark may also suggest improvements to your diet and lifestyle, such as increasing or modifying certain activities or recommending certain types of exercises in conjunction with chiropractic treatment to stretch and/or strengthen the body.

Dr. Mark enjoys spending time outdoors boating, golfing, and camping.  Dr. Mark and his wife Stacy have three children Cyler, Ryah, and Taytem. Mark volunteers his time as a coach with the Humboldt Wildcat Youth Wrestling Program.

About Mitch Nielsen,

DC, ART

Dr. Mitch Nielsen grew up in the Humboldt area and attended Twin River Valley High School.  His involvement in athletics led him to continue his education at the University of Northern Iowa where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.  Dr. Mitch was a certified personal trainer and became a lead instructor, training future UNI personal trainers.  He was also a volunteer intern on Northern Iowa’s Strength and Conditioning staff, working with many Division I athletes.  While at UNI, Dr. Mitch met his wife, Laurie, who was also very involved with the University’s wellness programs.  They married after graduation in 2008.  


     After graduating from UNI, Dr. Mitch attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO.  He volunteered with many community events and was also the class president.  In April of 2013, he obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree with cum laude honors and began working in Humboldt in May of 2013.  He currently lives outside of Bradgate with his wife and three children. Dr. Mitch spends his free time volunteering with local community organizations and his kid’s youth activities.  Dr. Mitch continues to further his education and experience in therapeutic modalities, acupuncture, rehab exercises and functional nutrition to improve the health and quality of life of his patients.
